POLICE HARVESTED DANGEROUS WEAPONS AND CARS FROM. CRIMINALS.

 The Nigeria Police has recovered dangerous weapons and cars from suspected criminals on the Northern parts of Nigeria.

 This was made known to City Express News conrespondent in Abuja by Force Police Public Relations Officer (FPPRO) Mr.Frank Mba while briefing Newsmen of the work of the force in the past one month.

He claimed “Police have arrested “one gang who attempted to kidnap one Catholic Bishop in Zaria”.

 The FPPRO stated further “Eighty four (84) suspects were arrested, óne general purpose machine gun (GPMG), one Lar rifle, Seventeen Ak47 rifles, Two pump Action guns, Twenty fabricated Ak47 rifles were recovered”. 

He added “Three single barrel guns, Nine Thousand, Eight hundred and Ninety nine lives ammunition of various categories, Eighty fake plates Numbers and one Camry and one Corolla salon cars were also recovered from the suspects”

Mr. Mba said “the suspects were arrested for various offences, ranging from kidnapping, Terrorism, Banditry, possession and fabrication of illegal weapons and armed robbery” 

He revealed further “four notorious criminals who are responsible for high profile kidnapping operating in FCT, Kaduna, Niger, Katsina, Bauchi and Plateau State respectively were also arrested”.

The force image maker told the press ” the gang were planning to kidnap a Catholic Bishop before they were arrested in Zaria”. He said “they specialised in supplying Arms and Ammunition to bandits in Birni Gwarri, Kaduna, Niger, Katsina and Zamfara states,”

 Mr. Mba added, “another seven man who specialises in manufacturing and supplying locally fabricated Am 47 rifles and Ammunition to bandits along Kaduna – Abuja roads were also rounded up”.

“Three man gang who specialises in producing fake plates numbers including Diplomatic numbers,  government and security plates numbers were arrested and eighty fakes plares numbers were recovered from them”.

He concluded “it was a harvest of weapons and criminals and they will soon be charged to court”
