The road to government House in Sapele road Benin City is gaining momentum as Dr. Wilson Akhere Jones has declared his intention to take over from Gov. Obaseki comes 2024.
He made this known to the publisher of City Express News Prince Sunny Ebhojiaye in an interview at his exotic Quincy International Hotel and Investments Ltd situated Apapa Lagos.
He said ” I decided to slug it out in political battle field with anybody to achieve his ambition”. Dr. Wilson stressed further, ” I do not succumbed to intimidation from any angle and I am sure I will win”
He claimed, I am a man of conviction, a conciliator and a visionary of no mean integrity. A skillful prudent, an administrator and most importantly an abiding citizen”.
” My footprints are firmly entrenched on the sand for anybody to see in respect of the roles I played during the re-election of Gov. Obaseki”. He added that ” I am a grassroot politician, when voted as governor I will bring peace to Edo State by uniting PDP and APC to succeed?.
When asked about his business empire, the Oil and gas business mogul said ” I have good and capable management team that can coordinate the businesses very well despite my absence”.
When asked about his god-father, he said ” God is my strength and my back-up in everything I embark on”. But quickly accepted Gov. Obaseki as his mentor.
He admitted ” my consultation with stakeholders and their assurance is a boost to win the election comes 2024 in the race to Osadebey House in Benin City”.
Dr. Wilson said ” my first tenure will centre on 3 Rs, meaning: Re-energize, Re-connect and Re-positioning”. “My experiences in my school days, my youthful leadership of my community and most recently group Chairman of Quincy Oil and gas and Quincy International Hotel will be transferred to lifted Edo State to an amiable height”
Dr. Wilson, a fellow member of Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration promised to use his wilder experience to reduce criminalities to the minimum level if elected as governor of Edo State.
