Managing Director of Nigeria Railway Corporation, Engineer Fidet Okhiria wants workers of the establishment to continue to support government drive towards modernisation of the entire railway system and brace up for the challenges.
According to a press release signed by the Deputy Director Public Relations Mallam Yakub Mahmood, Engineer Okhiria said this recently at a bi-monthly Management and Senior Staff meeting, at the Corporate Headquarters, of the Corporation, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.
With the theme, “Igniting Team Sprit”, He challenged the top staffers not only to be proactive in discharging their duties, but work together to achieve a common goal of efficiency and progress.

The Nigeria Railway Corporation boss believes the interactive session is one of the ways for them to tell themselves the truth with a view to fashion out ways for the sustainability of efficient, reliable and comfortable train services, which is the primary mandate.
In her remark, the Director of Administration and Human Resources of the Corporation, Dr. Monsurat Omotayo, re-echoed on team work sprit as the safest and simple way to the success of any organization.
All the Directors, Railway District Managers, Abuja and Itakpe Coordinators, Deputy and Assistant Directors, and District Medical Officers were in attendance. A communique that will serve as key performance indicator was ratified and adopted at the end of the two days meeting.
