Marwa urges Nigerian youths to join anti-drug crusade.

Chairman, Chief Executive of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Retired Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa has called on Nigerian youths to join the band wagon in fighting drug abuse in the country, urging them to be good ambassadors in waging war against illict drug and abuse.

General Marwa spoke through his representative, Mrs. Ibiba Ochie at the annual lecture and transparency awards of the National Chronicle Magazine, held in Ikeja, Lagos.

The NDLEA boss who was the guest lecture called on the youths to stop taking drugs and resist illict drug trafficking. He lamented that the high level of drug abuse among the youths, and called on parents to educate there children on the danger of drug abuse.

He applauded the publisher and Editor in Chief of the Nigeria Chronicles Magazine for supporting NDLEA in its fight against drug abuse.

The NDLEA Chairman representative, Mrs Ochie elucidating further said the penalty for drug hawking and abuse is now death penalty.  She gave kudos to the General Marwa for the war against drug abuse since he took over the affairs of the agency.  She described General Marwa as God sent to Nigeria for his hardwork and dedication to the service of humanity and love for the people and especially NDLEA workers.
