In this year’s edition we are celebrating a man of excellence, a man of uncommon wit who rose from obscurity to fame, a consumate and young police officer, ACP Patrick Ejedawe.

When we talk of a police officer who is level headed, active and courageous when duty calls, then the direction goes to ACP Ejedawe. Perhaps one of the attributes that distinguished ACP Ejedawe among his contemporaries is his passion and quest for knowledge.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Patrick Ejedawe was born on the 28th of March 1969 at Uromi, Esan South East local government of Edo State to the family of Ejedawe in Uromi.  He attended Ewoyi primary school, Uromi and proceeded to Agba Grammar School, Uromi, where he obtained the West African School Certificate (WASC).
The young industrious man gained admission into University of Lagos, where he graduated with First Class in flying colours.  ACP Patrick Ejedawe was enlisted into the Nigerian police force as a recruit on the 15th of June 1996. The zeal to become somebody made him to pursue his education with seriousness towards excellence. He studied law to add to his credentials. Today, he is a lawyer and gallant police officer.

He was one of the police officers that started the popular Lagos State general investigating department. (GID). While breaking new grounds and recording success at every duty assigned to him, he went to the United Nations Peace keeping mission outside the country to upgrade his police career profile.

A confident, sharp-witted and extremely generous personality. Chance or intuition may have played crucial role in his decision to join the Nigeria police force after leaving secondary school. There is however no doubt that Patrick’s commitment to the ideals of responsible citizenship, sacrifice, dedication and total commitment to the service of the nation were by far more compelling reasons.

A hardworking, focused, honest, selfless compassionate and God fearing man.
Today ACP Patrick Ejedawe has been nominated and selected for excellence service for an accomplished Police Officer and hospitality Man of the year 2021.
