Oba Barry is nominated for this year City Express News awards Nite coming up in April 30th 2022 in Lagos.
Oba Barry Abejide Orishadahun humanitarian services has endeared him to his people. He was born in Odo Atiba street to the family of Mr. Arowolo Orishadahun and Mrs. Victoria Orishadaun in Omuooke Ekiti in the mid-sixties. He attended St. Michael RCM primary school, Fagbo, Ondo State. He also attended Isedo Comprehensive High school, Omuooke Ekiti state before he joined Lolly Funky Theatre group at Monatan, Ibadan, Oyo state.

Kabiyesi learnt vocation in crafts, wood work and drawing. He inherited Trado Medical practice from the family business. In his search for more challenging work experience after his graduation from the school of Arts and Theatre, he established his own, Barry Wonder Theatre group, and moved to Lagos in 1993.
Barry relocated to Lagos state to continue Trado-Medical practice and named it Trado Medical clinic and herbal home which is registered under the corporate affairs commission, as Orishadahun herbal home. As a result of his outstanding performances and selfless service in Trado Medical practice, he was recognized and honoured with chieftaincy titles in Lagos metropolis.
The awards include Majekobaje, Best traditional ruler of the year 2009 by Royal international magazine and Grand legend in Africa gold award 2021.
In 1999, Oba Barry established a security outfit known as Scorpion Zone Security Nigeria limited which registered under CAC in order to curb crime.
Oba Barry told CITY EXPRESS NEWS at his Ekiti Umuooke palace that His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Arole Oodua Oni of Ife taught him a lesson of life on how to stand and face all challenges with the brave sprit of getting up again. He said he has been lucky in his life career as a spritual Oba to receive over 30 awards. ” I will ever remain grateful to Ooni of Ife for his encouragement and help rendered for me to succeed.”
He is a recipient of many distinguished awards of City EXPRESS NEWS, such as City EXPRESS NEWS meritorious service and humanitarian Oba of the year 2020’awards.
His hobbies are listening to music, traveling and watching football. His philosophy of life is “‘Live and let live. Whatever you sow, you shall reap.” He is a custodian of culture and cultural Ambassador.
