I WANT TO PROVE TO THE WORLD THAT DISABILITY IS NOT A BARRIER TO PROGRESS. RITA OFILI MISS WORLD WHEELCHAIR CONTESTANT.

Rita Ofili, Nigeria’s foremost Miss Wheelchair Beauty Queen, proudly said that being disable is not a barrier to her. She is set to take part in Miss Wheelchair World Beauty contest holding in Mexico this year 2022. Gone are those days when disability was regarded as a sickness, with the likes of Rita Ofili of Delta State of Nigeria, it is crystal clear that there is ability in disability.

The World can no longer relegate persons with disabilities to the background, as most of them now live a productive life.

Speaking to City Express News in Surulere, Lagos, Rita Ofili said that she is out to change the mind set of Nigerians towards people living with disabilities and those on wheelchairs in particular, as many of them are professionals in their various fields of endeavor who have contributed their quotas towards the development of Nigeria.

Speaking further on the fourth coming Miss Wheelchair World Beauty Contest in Mexico, Rita Ofili said that with her participation, she is going there to make a statement and bring honours to Nigeria.

Miss World Wheelchair Beauty Contest is an international initiative that has embrace an inclusive beauty of women on the wheelchairs from different countries of the world.   It is a platform to showcase Nigeria cultural heritage and prove to the world that a person with disabilities can do like a physical person and can even do it better.

“I am going to Mexico Miss Wheelchair World Beauty Contest to change the narrative of wheelchairs users by encouraged them to be stronger and positive of becoming great in life. I want to advice my fellow sisters who find themselves in this condition of disabilities to believe themselves that they are capable, vibrant, competent to represent their respective communities and the world at large. 
Do not start blaming God for your disabilities condition rather gives thanks to God Almighty for given precious lives.”

According to Miss Ofili, believe in us and we would believe in ourselves.
The strategy, tactics, intelligent and brain will be the pace setter for me to win the crown. My smile alone will change the mind of the judges to adjudged me the best with the crown. The graduate from the University of Lagos and winner of Miss Nigeria wheelchair beauty queen said, “‘I want to prove to the whole world that disability is not a barrier. I am black skinned, beautiful, intelligent, creative, outspoken and good for MISS Wheelchair World Queen Mexico 2022. 
She urged and plead to the Nigerian government, corporate organizations, individuals and other countries to support Miss Wheelchair World Beauty Contest in Mexico.

She appreciated Great Dynamics Talent Management, in particular her major sponsor, Reverend(Ambassador) Samuel Ikpea, the executive chairman of Nigeria National Football team who believes in her and making all effect to ensure that her dreams come  to reality.

Reverend Ikpea told City Express News that so many people have missrepresented the interest of people with disabilities. He said people with disabilities should be given equal rights rather than for them to be disrespected and treated like beggars.
