Inspector General of police IGP Usman Alkali Baba has commended the Oyo state police command for putting their names on scoring boards of crime fighting in the country.
IGP Usman lauded efforts of the Oyo State police command for the campaign against armed robbery, bandits, kidnapping, cultism, Boko Haram and other related criminal activities.
IGP Usman Alkali Baba also commended Oyo Police Command for arresting 2 bank officials, and four for complicity in planned bank robbery in the state.
Speaking through Nigeria police public relations officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi at the Abuja force headquarters, he said that IGP Usman tasks operatives on intelligence gathering and proactive policing.
IGP Alkali Baba stated emphatically that his administration will not relent in fighting crimes, criminality and insecurity, to a standstill.
The IGP restated the steadfastness of the present leadership of the Nigeria police, while commending the Oyo State police command, and the force intelligence bureau intelligence response squad (FIB-IRT) for their recent successes in crime fighting achieved through deployment of technologically advanced assets, community based as well as traditional policing methods, and improved police visibility.
The IRT operatives equally arrested a notorious armed robber and two kidnap suspects in Kaduna leading to the release of two kidnapped victims in their custody just to mention a few.
IGP Usman assured of his administration unflinching commitment to maximising the operational intelligence and investigative capabilities of the police force in curbing the spread of crime and criminality in the country.
According to the spokesman of the Nigeria police force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, all the suspects in connection with the mentioned cases will be charge to court upon conclusion of investigations while other suspects arrested accross the country are being prosecuted at various courts of competent jurisdiction in the country.

The police public relations officer, CSP Adejobi told City Express News that IGP Usman Alkali Baba will reward any police officer that do well and arrest any notorious armed robber, and criminal gangs.
