A man who has made enviable achievements needs our felicitations and commendations at all time, and as a means of testimonies for his good work on behalf of my family, City Express News management has nominated CP Longe for an award.
CP Longe has worked in various places including under the present Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba. His performance earned him early promotion to the rank of Commissioner of Police. His uncanny ability to trace and locate armed robbers and solving criminal issues endeared him to his bosses.
He was a deputy Commissioner of Police in Rivers state, and also area Commander of Area H. Ogudu, in Lagos state.
CP Kehinde is blissfully married to CP Princess Yetunde Longe, the Commissioner of Police in charge of Nigerian Railways in the whole federation.
A woman known as Lioness and Amazon. She is stronger than some men in the police force.
We met first time at Ebute-metta, Lagos in a hotel and nite club where I and my friend Oscar jnr werr resident Disco Jockeys.
CP Longe was ASP then over 30years ago. He led the others police officers for a surveillance patrol.
Immediately he saw me in the Nite club where Oscar jnr. was rapping with music vibes, he asked me who are you? I showed him my identity card as a journalist. He could not say anything but looked threatened seeing a journalist doing the work of a Disco Jockey.
We cannot therefore but thank God for the gift of this great man of honour who has not only proved that selfless service is a value to be cherished but has also continue to provide hope that quality service is the best measure of greatness.
Many journalists and lawyers find it difficult to trust some police officers because of there barbarick, trickish and despicable character. As for me a police officer slapped me and prepared a way for me for a destiny helper to assist me and catapulted me to where I am today, as a reputable human rights advocate and publisher.
