The igbo speaking community in lagos state planned to showcase that cultural heritage with the celebration of Nnoko Ndigbo Iriji festival 2022 at the Nigerian Television Authority Channel 10 Complex, Tejuosho , Surulere , Lagos State. The annual new yam eating is practiced throughout the igbo land and beyond. This Nnoko Ndigbo and Iriji symbolizing the conclusion of a harvest and beginning of the next work cycle. High chief Leonard Okafor, Oba Ofofo and Igwe Ede Ndigbo of Alagbado, of lagos will be leading great encourage as the chairman of the occasion alongside that eggheads in the igbo speaking community traditional rulers.
His Royal Highness, Eze (Dr Chika Nwokedi. Ezen Okpoko 1 the Eze Ndigbo of Ijegun / Ijedodo of Lagos, HRH Eze (Dr Lawrence Eze the Eze Ndigbo of Alimosho, Lagos, HRH Igwe Ebere Ubani, Igwe Eze Kingsley Nwosi, Ndigbo of white sand, High Chief (Dr Jonathan Nnaji, Chief Mike Umeh and host of Eze Ndigbo of igbo speaking community in lagos will register the presence at the new yam ofala, Nnoko Ndigbo and Iriji festival. The event is expected to witness beauty contest, fashion show, wrestling contest, and traditional dance.
Speaking to city Express News in an exclusive interview in lagos, is the president general of igbo speaking community in lagos, High Chief (Sir Cyril Sunday Eze, the event will also avail participant the chance to hear and learn from some of the leading Ndigbo and Ohananeze about the cultural heritage of igbo people in land.
