Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abioud Alabi has revealed that criminal activities in the state has reduced drastically due to intensive security war.

CP Abioud Alabi , a well travelled crime burster, great leader, and a good manager of human and material resources told City Express News in an exclusive interview that Lagos state will be more peaceful than other states in the country. My officers shall continue to go for war against criminals in the state. While he promises to give criminals a hard time in Lagos state and neighbouring state, Ogun state, He promised to get to the root of clashes of Agberos, cultists and political thugs. He is a silent achiever since assuming office as the Commissioner of police, Lagos state.

Effective leadership is not about making speeches or about being liked, leadership is defined by results and attribute credit to Peter Drucker of America . With this, one need not wonder why Lagos state recorded trail blazing and monumental achievements within less than a year in Lagos state.

According to CP Alabi, we planned our security network and it is working for us because we have studied all the terrain. The restiveness in crime waves is now at its lowest rate. CP Alabi said he is very happy with the support of the Divisional police officers (DPO’s) working with him as well as Area Commanders (ACPS).

“They have smoken out criminals from their various hideouts. Lagosians are indeed proud of them as they can sleep with their two eyes closed. CP Abuoud Alabi, former Commissioner of Bauchi state also informed City Express News that the good working relationship he enjoys from his officers and good citizens of the state contribute immensely to the reductions of crime rates in Lagos state, a mega city state that serves as a gate way to every part of the country. His effort however at combating crime covers a wide spectrum of criminalities in the volatile divisions. Mushin, Ikorodu, Oshodi, Ajegunle, Apapa, Igando, and Ojo areas.

‘I have embarked on total overhauling of the Officers through discipline and a level playing field for both the police and citizens in Lagos state.’

CP Alabi do pay visit with his men to Lagos areas and asked questions from members of the public, how and what police are doing this days.

The Lagos state police command as part of his rejigging the officers, CP Alabi has ensured training and retraining vof his officers which has helped his men a lot in combating internet fraudsters, counter cyber-crime known as Yahoo.

According to him, there are still acute shortage of manpower, few patrol vehicles and all that are not good enough because of pot holes.

But by training, Alabi sees beyond challenges, thanks to his strong trajectory as a mobile officer.

He pledged to make the state crime free.
