How I knew I would be King from mother’s womb. Eze Nwokedi.

His Royal Highness, Eze(Dr) Chika Nwokedi the Eze Okpoko 1, Eze Ndugbo of Ijegun/Ijododo of Lagos state in an exclusive interview with City Express News on Sunday spoke about his growing up, challenges he faced before ascending the royal throne, and how the special day of double blessings was.

It was a traditional and cultural event, I was dazzled, bubbled, rattled and Lagos stood still. There was financial problems, spiritual pressure and the Igbo speaking community in Lagos rallied to support.

It was a jubilation galore on 17th September 2022 as the people of Ijegun and Ijododo of Lagos state at the Obi Chukwu palace held maiden traditional Iwaji ceremony. At the selection presentation and chieftaincy title awards by the traditional council prominent chiefs, youths council and women leaders were in attendance.

Eze(Dr) Nwokedi told City Express News in an interview that the event was a remarkable day that will ever linger in his life. He said that it was an important day in the history of his life as a new monarch unveiled to the Igbo speaking community in Lagos state.

Eze Okpoko said that the gazete was properly followed in the presentation of awards and the traditional chieftaincy titles. ” I am grateful to God that the Igbo speaking community in Lagos unanimously accepted me. The Ohaneze, Igwe and High Chiefs have the prerogative power to perform such function as far as the installation of Eze Okpoko 1 is concerned in this royal palace”.

Eze Okpoko 1 confessed his special love to his beloved wife, the great Queen and mother of his children. “It is your day and our day today and I can only wish you all that is beautiful, not only today but every day, I love you.”

Eze Nwokedi is a very honest, focused personality who decided to work hard with the help of Heaven, he was able to achieve his life dream of becoming a paramount ruler. “It was in my mother’s womb, God revealed it to me that I will be a King” he concluded.
