JOSHUA APEBO IS ASSOCIATION OF SENIOR CIVIL SERVANTS OF NIGERIA NEW SECRETARY-GENERAL

Comrade Joshua Apebo has been appointed the Secretary-General
of Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) with effect from
1st January 2023. He succeeds the incumbent Secretary-General, Comrade
Alade Bashir Lawal, who will exit service on 31st December, 2022. Comrade Apebo was the Deputy Secretary-General of the Association from 1st March, 2019 until his elevation to the post of Secretary-General.

This is contained in a statement jointly signed by the National President Comrade Tommy Etim Okon and the Secretary General Comrade Alade Bashir Lawal.

The new Secretary General joined the service of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria on the 5th January, 2001. Comrade Apebo has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Public Administration in 1998 from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and also Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Public Administration in 2007 from the University of Maiduguri, Maiduguri.

He has attended series of Trade Union courses, seminars and w orkshops which have impacted positively on his performance. Comrade Apebo has served the Association in Borno State, Adamawa State and Benue State.

On the 1st May, 2014, Comrade Apebo was promoted to the post of Assistant Secretary-General and transferred to the National Headquarters of the Association in Lagos. He has been dedicated and loyal to the Association and possess unique quality in his relations with staff and members of the Association.

His sterling qualities were instruments to his approval by the National Executive Council of the Association who in unionism approved his appointment to the position. It is generally agreed that he is in better position to succeed the outgoing Secretary General Comrade Alade Bashir Lawal and move the Association to greater heights.
