NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL DECLARED OPEN IN DELTA, CP ARI. MUHAMMED ALI PARLEYS SECURITY STAKEHOLDERS TO SECURE LIVES AND PROPERTIES

After months of preparation the 21st National sports festival tagged Delta 2022, was declared open on Wednesday November 30th 2022 in a fun fare by state Governor of Delta State senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, and sports minister Sunday Dare representing president Muhammudu Buhari. The state Governor Okowa promised to host best ever National sports festival with best facilities. The Delta State Commissioner of Police CP Ari Muhammed Ali, told City Express News in an exclusive interview at the Asaba Township stadium that police will provide the adequate security for lives and properties. A warning signal has been dispatched to armed robbers, terrorists, kidnappers criminals and banditry operating close to Delta and environment to stay clear from sports festival metropolis. It came from the most reliable and trusted commissioner of police Muhammed Ali during the joint security parleys with stake holders few days to the kick-off of the sports festival in a bid to make Delta State – crime free. The state commissioner CP Ali held an interactive session with stake holders across the state to provide tight digital security for the state that was currently witnessing an increase in the rate of kidnapping, armed robbery, murder, cultism and other form of crimes hence the need for workable solutions to checkmate the menace. He lamented the negativity consequences of crime to the economic, socio- political structure of the state. The state police command helmsmen stressed that men of the command cannot do it all alone hence the command has resolved to partner with members of the public who are directly or indirectly under threat from this monsters of criminals harassing the innocent people around.

The strong police team from zone 5 Benin City and military, department state security, Nigeria Defense and Civil Corps and private vigilante are part of security parleys. According to CP Ali, the Nigeria Police Force has been motivated by inspector General of Police IGP Alkali Usman Baba and the state governor Senator Okowa the necessary support to get everything done throughout the sports festivals
