The first Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government Council, Alhaji Alani Saheed Okikioposu died on Friday after a protracted illness at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The news of the demised of the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was announced in an obituary message signed and made available by the Chairman of the party in Ikeja LGA , Maiyegun Dally Adeokun.
The Chairman of the 57 LGA Chairmen in Lagos State said in the announcement that “We regret, but with gratitude to Allah swt, to announce the death of one of our leaders, a former Ikeja Local Government Council Chairman and a close friend, Mayor Alani Okikioposu this evening”.
“Burial will take place today Saturday 10th December 2022. City Editor Correspondent Afolabi Oyekunle reports that during his tenure Okikioposu pioneered many developmental projects in Ikeja. One of his landmark was linking the Railway line at Ashade market with a road to Agege motor road and stopping the perennial hold up in the area. May his soul rest in peace.
