Minister of Transportation Sambo, CP Longe, and ACP Ejadawe storm Edo state to rescue abducted train passengers.

The Edo state government led by Governor Godwin Obaseki has got more supports from Federal Government and Nigeria Railway Police Command. Following the Edo Train attack at Ekekhen/Igueben to Warri on Saturday 7th January 2023, passengers boarding from Igueben to Warri, Delta State, the Minister of Transport, Engineer Muazu Sambo, Commissioner of Police, Nigeria Railway Police Commands CP (Mrs.) Yetunde Longe and super cop crime burster, ACP Patrick Ejedawe, who was transferred from Nasarawa State Command two weeks ago to Nigeria Railway Police Command Lagos Office, has joined the rescue team. With the arrival of ACP Patrick Ejedawe Police have been able to arrest two suspects’ kidnappers and rescued six (6) victims. The Igueben Esan West Local Government of Edo State forest is now receiving great attention. Following the successful arrest of the two suspects, the police detective team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Ejedawe and the Edo State Police Commissioner CP Mohammed Dankwara through his spoke man SP Chidi Nwabuzor told City Express News that rescue team are on trail of the kidnappers.

ACP Patrick Ejedawe, who is specialized in rescue mission, is making effort to get the kidnappers arrested. The Commissioner for Communication and orientation, Chris Nehikhare, also addressed a press conference in Benin City, Edo State Capital, to confirm the arrest of two suspects.

That six of 31 victims kidnapped at the Igueben train station has been rescued. The investigation is still on to determine their culpability in the kidnap incident.

Those who were rescued include a 65 year old man, a nursing mother and her baby, a six year old girl and two sibling a boy and a girl aged between two and five years old.

The Police rescue team has begun combing Igueben bush to arrest the others fleeing notorious kidnap gang.

The kidnappers demanded for a ransom of one hundred and fifty million Naira (150,000,000. 00k) as a condition for their release. ACP Ejedawe has led many serious operation for rescue handling high – profile criminal armed robbery / kidnapped case has brought ACP Ejedawe to the Lime light.

He is a reliable and trusted Police detective. Because of hard work and exceptional performance in crime control, ACP Patrick Ejedawe was transferred back to Lagos two week ago, a posting that is very rare in modern day in Nigeria Police Force. His exploit in curbing notorious banditry, kidnappers and criminals cases prompted his transfer back to Lagos. He excelled, sending most robbers to early graves While large numbers of crooks were apprehended.

He said Edo state train kidnappers are in trouble, no escaped for them he said. He spoke to City Express News from Igueben forest that, he is a son of the soil from Esan land who knows how the forests look like. By God’s grace and Esan Ancestors spirit the Herdsmen have no place to hide. They are going to brought to book after rescue mission.
