2024: Senator Okpebholo pressures to declare for Governorship election.

Senator Monday Okpebholo (a.k.a) Akpakomiza is in a political dilemma whether to contest or not for Edo State Governor come 2024. Whatever is stopping him from contesting is himself and Edo Central’s future.

Senator Okpebholo is currently serving at the National Assembly in Abuja representing Edo Central Senatorial district, Monday Okpebholo, being a crowd-puller didn’t disappoint the hundreds of guests at the Irrua Church thanksgiving ceremony to thank God for his Senatorial seat.

But, the story making the rounds is his Governorship ambitions as there are pressure for him to contest come 2024.

Friends, associates and political APC party members including Senator Adams Oshiomhole were present at the event.

At several tables in the reception thanksgiving, Senator Okpebholo was the silent discourse. Some politicians were overhead saying he has to contest in 2024 election. Senator Monday Okpebholo be representing Edo Central Senatorial district on the platform of All Progress Congress is a stakeholder and heavyweight in grassroot politics

Whatever he comes up with will be a well thought out and workable solution. We only saw the billboard of Senator Monday Okpebholo, no declaration yet.

Senator Okpebholo has not officially announce and declare that he will contest for the Governorship election in 2024.

Some Esan politicians and we’ll wishers have been passing messages of good will, love, caution and advice to Him not to drop the Senator position for Edo 2024 Governorship election. But the Akpakomiza slogan in him, made the easy going young politician not to be contented with Senator position which he won on the platter of gold.

The major issue that dominated sideline conversation was the question of who the party would produce as it’s candidate.

So far the answer to this question seems like a mirage in view of the line up of personalities who have publicly declares their interest to run for the office of Governor.

Those who want to succeed Governor Godwin Obaseki next year are too many to mention. However Edo State needs a leader who will bodily without fear or favour do the right things, make the right calls and take the problem of the state by the scruff of the neck and deal with them throughly without playing to the gallery.
